Passing of Past Commodore, Joe McGrath

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Joe McGrath on January 7, 2013 in Philadelphia.  Joe was a great friend and mentor to many of us at the club as well as a Past Commodore, a long time member of the Board of Governors and a great sailor for years at the club.

Our prayers and thoughts are with Peggy and her family.

Commodore’s message to members of GWYC in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy

GWYC club members:

The club suffered some damage from Sandy that we will be evaluating more in the coming weeks. Just know that the true heart of GWYC – the members – are all safe and we will re-build and be better than before. We are a club that can have fun anywhere under any conditions – we are GWYC!
